The course covers different important aspects of the PMD technology, starting from the pysical and mathematical basics which are needed to measure time-of-flight with a PMD camera and derive 3D information thereof up to the fundamentals of pixel design. Furthermore, it outlines essential key components as well as the aspects which have to be considered for the design of a PMD camera.
The course is divided into the following three topics, provided in form of video lectures:
- PMD Time-of-Flight (ToF) Basics
- ToF Key Components: Lenses, Optical Filters, Illumination, Eye Safety
- PMD Overview and Camera Design
In addition of the video lectures you can access the slides (*.pdf) to each of the lectures.
